One of the best moments in my life... Back country goodness in El Colorado
The winter of 2010 was a good one. Because for me it was spent with 2 of my favourite people - Em and Joe in a small ski field called El Colorado which is located just 45mins away from Santiago, Chile.

Beautiful deep Chilean pow
We had plenty of bluebird days, heaps of powder and a fair few attempts at drunkenly skiing home in the dark after Happy Hour.

Me and Joe on the chair during another stellar day
But when the storms rolled in...the powder came in metres!!!! It was seriously the deepest, softest and most glorious powder I have ever ridden... better than Canada, France, Austria, Italy and NZ!!!

Feeling humble in the Andes
Off course there were times in between the dumps when the snow started to melt and thin out... but that was a perfect time to head to the park and try and hurt ourselves on the jumps, rails and boxes in the park.

There were also spectacular days had exploring the El Colorado Back country as well. Beautiful deep powder, bluebird days and else around!!!!!!!!! Fresh lines everytime and huge smiles at the end of every run!!!!!!!

Joe checking out the view and scoping our lines
I was only in Chile for a fast 6 weeks, so it was just a taster for me and then I had to move on to Argentina for 3 weeks then finally Australia where work a much depleted bank balance was awaiting me.

Thats me and Em showing off our awesome lines behind us... fom top to bottom and no one else around!!!!!
It was such a great trip purely for the skiing as we did not really get to see the 'real Chile'... only the 'Upper class Americanised side' of it, which seemed a little fake at the best of times. But that didn't matter to us we were living on the mountain, skiing everyday that we wanted to and testing out the fruits of the Chilean alcohol industry!!! It was lush!!!!

During a break in snow we ventured down to Santiago to amuse ourselves... it was a successful trip!
